Attorney Timothy Sheehan was born in New Britain, Connecticut and has resided in the New Britain/Farmington area his entire life. He is married to the former Mary Jane Motto of New Britain; they have six daughters, 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren (to date). He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut School of Law and he has been engaged in the general practice of law in New Britain for over 42 years.
Over the years Attorney Sheehan has represented hundreds of clients in all Trial and Appellate Courts of the State of Connecticut. He has tried cases in the Probate Courts and the Superior Court and he has filed Briefs and argued cases in the Appellate Court and the Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut.
He has served as an Attorney Fact Finder in the Superior Court; in addition, he has served as a Special Master and Mediator acting on behalf of the Court attempting to resolve contentious divorce and custody/access cases by agreement.
Other than litigation Attorney Sheehan has extensive experience representing clients in real estate transactions, probate matters including Wills and Trusts and small business setup and management. He has a busy family law practice in which he both litigates and mediates cases as necessary.
He has been a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association and the New Britain Bar Association.
He treasures the relationships developed over the years with many clients and his long professional relationships with Attorneys Israel Rosenzweig, Lawrence J. Fagan and William J. Watson, III. He is pleased with the arrival of Attorney Katarzyna Maluszewski into the partnership.
