Welcome To Sheehan, Watson & Maluszewski

Our law firm was founded in 1946 by Attorney Israel Rosenzweig when he returned to his native New Britain after four years of service in World War II in the South Pacific.  He was the son of immigrants and our practice has always served, primarily, the legal needs of individuals in our area rather than commercial or business interests.

In 1962 Rosie was joined by Attorney Lawrence J. Fagan and in 1972 they were joined by Attorney Timothy Sheehan.  In 2002 Rosie died and Attorney William J. Watson, III joined the firm.  Throughout those many years the firm continued to prosper by providing efficient, personal and professional legal services to four generations of clients in the central New Britain area.  When people call us at (860) 225-8447 during office hours they will always immediately speak personally to a member of our staff – we have no “phone menu” to navigate.

Larry Fagan retired in 2010; Tim and Will are now very pleased to be joined by Attorney Katarzyna Maluszewski who was born in Poland; she immigrated to the U.S. as a young child and she has now practiced law in New Britain for almost 15 years.  The name of the firm has changed but our commitment to our clients (professional service – hard work – individual attention) remains the same.

Over the years the scope of services provided has also changed and expanded.  We now provide services in the areas of criminal defense, family law, civil litigation including accident and injury cases, real estate transactions, wills and probate, Social Security disability and small business incorporation or setup.  We also deal with many other professionals throughout Connecticut; if your problem involves an area of the law in which we do not specialize or requires other specialized knowledge (such as accounting), we can refer you to people who can assist you.
